Lady G

Founder

Lady G answered a calling—not simply to a profession, but to a ministry of service during life’s most difficult moments. From an early age, she understood that honoring life, supporting families, and preserving dignity was sacred work.

Her journey began as a young girl watching her grandfather, Filmore Thomas, Sr., faithfully serve families through Thomas Memorial Funeral Home. Witnessing his compassion, leadership, and unwavering presence during times of loss planted a vision that would shape her life’s purpose. Even then, she knew she was called to walk alongside families when strength, guidance, and care matter most.

Service has never been an obligation for Lady G—it has always been her calling.

A proud graduate of Southwest High School, Lady G continued her academic journey at Tuskegee University, earning a degree in Chemical Engineering. She later became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, embracing leadership, scholarship, and service.

Committed to pairing excellence with purpose, Lady G continued her education, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Education (MEd), and an Associate of Science in Mortuary Science. Her academic foundation reflects discipline, preparation, and compassion—qualities essential to serving families with integrity.

With a divine vision to place knowledge into service, Lady G founded Divine Preservation Funeral Services—a ministry devoted to professional, dignified, and compassionate care. Through personal loss, including the passing of her mother and, most recently, her father—whom she laid to rest with reverence and divine care—her purpose has been renewed and strengthened.

Divine Preservation Funeral Services proudly serves all 159 counties across the State of Georgia. No matter where a family is located, Lady G and her team are committed to providing accessible, professional, and compassionate service—ensuring every life is honored with dignity.

For Lady G, funeral service is more than a profession—it is a ministry of preservation, compassion, and honor.
